Meghan Shorty Rice of Hanover Park Visitation for Meghan Shorty Rice will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Theresa Church, 467 Benton, Palatine, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Born Oct. 13, 1988, in Seattle Wash., to Kenneth J. II and Tamara Marie Rice, she passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009, in Hoffman Estates. She is survived by her parents; her sisters, Bryanna and Noelle; her grandparents, Kenneth Sr. and Joanna Rice and Patricia Joyce Rice; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald Paul Rice and Gerwin Kurt Gerbig. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family or to the funeral home.
