Lashon Lee Wells, known as "Shon," was born August 23, 1969, in South Williamson, Ky. She went home to be with the Lord January 3, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred White.
Shon was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Williamson High School in 1988. She continued her education to become a Medical Information Specialist, and worked as such for years at Trinity Healthcare of Mingo and Family Care of Teay's Valley up until her health prevented her from doing so. Shon's hobbies included watching movies and TV game shows, going to bingo, and cooking. She was full of laughter and loved to joke.
Shon is survived by her mother, Barbara White of Williamson; her daughter, Briana Wells of Pikeville, Ky.; son, Richard Wells Jr. of Williamson; sisters, Tonya (Maria) Hernandez of Connecticut, Shelvey (Victor) Monroe of Charleston, W.Va., and Renae (Derron) Watson of Alabama; one brother, Fred White Jr. of Charleston; two grandchildren, Breah and Brooklyn Belcher of Pikeville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 7, at Pentecostal Tabernacle United Holy Church in Williamson with Pastor Rick Wilkerson officiating.
