Julie Nicole Mott age 25 of San Antonio passed peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Julie was born on August 15, 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas to Tim and Sharlotte Mott. At the age of two, Julie was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis but she refused to have it define her life. She spent her youth just like all the other children, playing soccer, competing on the swim team, and developing lifelong friendships. Julie grew up with a close knit group of girls. From first grade to present day, from the East Coast to the West Coast, they all share a very special bond with Julie.
Julie was seven years old when she discovered her passion for horses. She began taking English riding lessons at the age of nine and was quickly competing in horse shows and, later, show jumping. She was never more at home than in the saddle. It was this love of horses that laid the foundation between Julie and her best friend, Evan.
Julie lived her life in a house full of love. Her family was deeply devoted to her living as normal of a life as possible. Perhaps her greatest relationship was the one she had with her mother. The bond between a mother and her daughter is always strong, but theirs was stronger. Through the doctor appointments and the hospital stays, the love they shared for one another grew with each passing day.
Julie will continue to live in the hearts and minds of those who had the pleasure to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by all her grandparents, her Uncle Garry Bearden, Aunt Pat Mott and the love of her life⦠her horse, Benny. Julie is survived by her Parents, Tim and Sharlotte Mott; her Brother, Jon Mott and his Wife, Tiffany; her Aunts and Uncles, Tom Mott, Carolyn and Jim Morehead, Nickie Green and Elaine Bearden; and numerous Cousins.
SERVICES
Visitation will be on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive. The Service will be on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home Chapel.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas âÃÂà25-year-old Julie Mott passed away after a long bout with Cystic Fibrosys.
On August 15th, her family held a funeral for her at Mission Park North Funeral Chapel on Cherry Ridge Dr.
It is believed that, in the hours after the funeral service, someone came into the funeral home and stole her remains.
There wasnâÃÂÃÂt any forced entry to the facility, Sgt. Javier Salazar told CNN affiliate KSAT. So what its believed is between the hours of 1:30 p.m., when the service ended, to about 4:30 p.m., when they locked up for the evening, someone came in and stole Ms. MottâÃÂÃÂs remains. That person remains at large.
Funeral home owner Dick Tips told the affiliate that he believes the body may have been stolen by someone who didnâÃÂÃÂt support MottâÃÂÃÂs cremation, which was supposed to take place August 17.
MottâÃÂÃÂs father implored the community for help.
We just want our daughters remains returned so we can have some closure to our grief, Tim Mott told the affiliate.
SAPD Intelligence is investigating the case, and is asking for anyone with information to call 210-225-TIPS (8477). Mission Park has offered a $20,000 reward to anyone with information which leads to the recovery of JulieâÃÂÃÂs remains.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Police in San Antonio say a man who was the last to leave the funeral where a woman's body was stolen from a casket was "obsessed" with the deceased woman, according to an incident report obtained by 48 Hours' Crimesider.
Investigators say Julie Mott, 26, was taken from her casket at Mission Parks Funeral Chapel North on Saturday Aug. 15. Mott died on Aug. 8 from cystic fibrosis.
San Antonio Police Sgt. Javier Salazar said Mott's service ended around 1:30 p.m., and her remains were taken into a private visitation area in the back of the funeral home. Police believe her body was stolen during the next three hours, before the funeral home closed for the day.
In the incident report, police say an unidentified person who had been invited to the service and was the last to leave had been "obsessed" with Mott and had been calling and texting her.
A San Antonio police spokeswoman, Romana Lopez, confirmed to Crimesider that the person is a man, but said police are not identifying him because no arrest warrants have been issued and no suspects have been named.
She couldn't comment on any possible relationship the man may have had with Mott.
Police said they don't believe Mott's body was removed overnight, because an alarm at the facility had not been triggered and there didn't appear to be any forced entry.
"The next morning when they came back to the funeral home, they discovered that the casket Ms. Mott had been in for the service was actually empty," said Sgt. Salazar. "Her remains had been removed."
Her father, Tim Mott, told CBS affiliate KENS that the disappearance of the young woman's body has made it even harder for her family to deal with her death.
"We just want our daughter's remains returned so we can have some closure to our grief," said Tim Mott, Julie Mott's father.
Police are continuing to investigate tips, KENS reports.
The Mission Parks Funeral Home is reportedly offering $20,000 to help catch whoever stole the body.
