SETZER, HELEN M. went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2013 at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville, Tennessee surrounded by her children. She was a former resident of Barboursville, WV. Helen was born on February 28, 1919 in Uniondale, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Claude and Blanche Zeigler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Howard Setzer; sister, Irene Goodell; grandson, James Howard Setzer, III; and son-in-law, Heinz Bauer. She is survived by sons, Jim Setzer and wife Mary of Barboursville, WV, David Setzer and wife Nancy of Barboursville, WV; daughters, Carol Bauer of Trinity, NC, and Judy White and husband Roy of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Brent Clay, Michael and John Setzer; Victor, Glen and Mark Beuhring; Marsha Freeman, Paula Cummings, Holly Corolla, Terry Roemer, Paige Adams; Karyn Setzer-Lucas and Connie Setzer; 21 great-grandchildren; niece Pat Skelding and husband Bob; nephew Dr. Charles H. Lippy; and cousins David H. and Pat Daugherty of Huntington, WV. Helen and her husband Howard developed Garden Farms, Guyan Estates and Indian Meadows. They were also former owners of Setzer's World of Camping. Helen was a gifted pianist who warmed the hearts of family and friends every time her fingers touched the piano keys. She played the piano for several churches in the Huntington area. She was also a member of PEO, Chapter I. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel in Barboursville, WV by Dr I. Mark Conner of Huntington, WV and Dr. Charles H. Lippy of Charleston, SC. Entombment will be in the Abbey of Remembrance, Woodmere Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Setzer, Michael Setzer, Brent Clay, Victor Beuhring, Mark Beuhring and Mike Lucas. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army. Friends may call Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville, WV.
