Mavis Bailey O'Neal
July 21, 1927 - May 21, 2016

Mavis Bailey O Neal, 88, a native of Aflex, Ky., and long-time resident of Bristol, Tenn., and Marietta, Ga., died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Saint Augustine, Fla. Mrs. ONeal, who was born July 21, 1927, was a graduate of Williamson High School at Williamson, W.Va., and attended King College in Bristol. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by those she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, Thomas William ONeal, of Saint Augustine, who died in 2012; her parents, William Greever Bailey, who died in 1969, and Zona Runyon Bailey, who died in 1986. She is survived by a son, Tom ONeal Jr. of Saint Augustine; a daughter, Kitty ONeal Reed of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, June Bailey Bradley of The Woodlands, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
