Patty Jane DeLeon, 80 of McAndrews, passed away Saturday, June 18 2016, at her residence.
Born April 10, 1936, at Homemade Hollow, McVeigh in Pike County, Ky., she was a daughter of Reece and Luda McCurry Moneyhun.
She was the longtime sales clerk at L.B. Atkins Jewelry and Brickstreet Artifacts in Williamson, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Short; brother-in-law, Alex Short; sister, Bonnie Loftis; brother-in-law, Wallace Loftis; brother, R.D. Moneyhun; sister-in-law, Alleyne Moneyhun; brother-in-law, Norman Cassidy; sister-in-law, Barbara Casssidy; brother-in-law, Frank DeLeon; brother-in-law, Bill Staylin and nephews: Shelley K. Loftis and Terry Moneyhun.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John P. DeLeon; son, Scott A. (Colette) DeLeon of Boutte, La.; grandchildren: Latherio Jr (Qiana) Joseph of Hahnville, La., and LaNai (Vernon) Wolfe of Luling, La.; and great-granddaughters: Paisley Blaine Joseph and Ryan Rae Wolfe. In addition, she is survived by nieces: Nancy Loftis Blackburn of McAndrews, Kelly Cortez of Trinidad, Colo., and Shelley's wife, Marina Loftis of Forest Hills, Ky., and a host of family and friends
She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Belfry, Ky., Board Member of Stone Heritage, Kentucky Colonel and involved in various other community activities.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at First Baptist Church of Belfry. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday June 23, at the church with Pastor Mark Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky.; pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked you make contributions to the Save Our Animals No Kill Animal Shelter in Pikeville, Ky., in honor of Pat DeLeon.
