Linda Kay Lee Mounts, 68, of Gilbert, W.Va., expired at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center at Huntington, W.Va., following a 2-year struggle with multiple illnesses.

Born December 2, 1947, at Capels, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Mabel Gertrude Lee Coe. Linda was a loving mother and wife. She was a graduate of St. Marys School of Nursing in 1970, and worked as an RN for several years before starting her family. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held multiple callings throughout her life with the church. She was part owner of Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert with her loving husband of 40 years, Lowell Hoppy Mounts. Linda enjoyed reading scripture, talking with her two sons, spending time with her three grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to express her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and very special grandmother, Leety Jane Lee. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elaine New. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Linda and mourn her passing include her loving husband of 40 years, Lowell Hoppy Mounts; her two sons: Jordan Mounts of Gilbert and Joshua (Cassie) Mounts of Vienna, W.Va.; her sister-in-law, Carol (Gary) Butcher of Man; her sister, Susan Coe of Baisden; her niece, Lisa (Brent) Leishman of Oxford, Ohio; very special friend, Dottie (Charles) Roberts; and Linda's three very loving grandchildren: Jacob, Ethan, and Olivia Mounts, all of Vienna.

Funeral services will be conducted by Elder Edward Laxton and Brent Leishman at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel at Gilbert on Friday, November 11, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mounts Family Cemetery on Gilbert Creek Road, Gilbert.

The family will welcome all friends and family at noon Friday prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Mikee Ward, Barrett Justice, Thomas Justice, Brent Leishman, Eric Browning, Kenny Smith, Joe Blankenship, and Charles Ray Roberts. Mounts Funeral Home at Gilbert is in charge of arrangements.
