Sheny-Huei Lu, M.D., of Chicago, Illinois peacefully passed away at home on Monday November 7, 2016 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Li-Wha Lu and loving father of James (Shirley Joo, M.D.) Lu, M.D., Leonard (Dianne) Lu, M.D., and Camille (Wilson Tsu) Lu. Proud Agung of eight grandchildren, Vivienne, Michelle, Megan, Logan, Olivia, Michael, Audrey, and Theodore. Further survived by his 5 siblings and many nieces, nephews, and mah jong friends. Dr. Lu was born September 23, 1940 in Chia-Yi, Taiwan, and received a medical degree from China Medical University in 1967. He immigrated to the United States in 1970 and remained a lifelong Chicagoan until his death. As a young man, he loved to dance, karaoke, and hit golf balls at the range. In his final years, he was slowed by chronic back pain, but reclaimed his youthfulness by taking countless selfies with friends and family, texting and mastering the art of emojis, and playing Pokemon Go. He will be dearly missed.
