Catherine White died peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1927, in Logan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hardwick and Mable (Bradshaw) Ross. She was the devoted wife of Reverend Glenn I. White, Jr. for sixty years. She was preceded in death by her sisters Nellie Meyer of Schenectady, New York and Fontella Beitler of Cincinnati, Ohio. Including her husband Glenn, Catherine is survived by two sons, J. Keith (Donna) White and Gary (Jo Ann) White of Logan; grandchildren, Darren White and Tiffany Leavitt of Provo, Utah and Jennifer White of Logan; great-grandchildren Bella and Brianna of Provo Utah; two sisters, Phyllis Stokley and Judy Ross of Daytona Beach Florida. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her extended church family; her special friend and caregiver, June Hensley of Logan and her physician Dr. William Mullen. She was a member of the Central United Baptist Church of Logan. She enjoyed her family, reading, crossword puzzles and her rose garden.
