Larry Delmas Steele
Retired Truck Driver for Overnite Trucking

Larry Delmas Steele of Colerain Township, Ohio and formerly of Matewan, West Virginia, was born January 6, 1944, at Matewan, Mingo County, West Virginia, a son of the late Elmer and Norma Richmond Steele. He departed this life Thursday December 15, 2016, at Hospice of Hamilton in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio.

Larry was a graduate of Magnolia High School of Matewan, West Virginia and went on to work until his retirement for Overnite Trucking having 37 years of service as a truck driver.

Survivors include his fiancée, Peggy Lawrence; children: Bill Steele and his wife Mary, John Steele and his wife Lori, Mike Steele and his wife Cate and Tony Steele and his wife Becky; five grandchildren: Angela, Brittany, Michael, Morgan, and Samantha; four great-grandchildren: Isabella, Logan, Luke, and Gia; two brothers: Samuel Steele and his wife Carol, and Jack Steele and his wife Geneva, and a sister, Vicky Fields. Larry is also survived by a host of other loving relative and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be conducted at noon Monday December 19, 2016, at Chambers Funeral Services Chapel, Matewan, West Virginia with burial to follow in the Steele Family Cemetery at Meador, West Virginia.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will begin receiving friends at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
