Barbara Varacalli Buskirk, 69 of Buskirk Addition, Logan, passed away May 18, 2018 at her home. Born July 14, 1948 in Logan, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Nathalyn Cody Varacalli. Also preceding her in death was a sister Mary Rose Varacalli, one brother Joseph Varacalli and one aunt Martha Cody.
Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Logan High School and a graduate of West Virginia University, with honors with a Pharmacology Degree. Barbara was a pharmacist in Logan County for 40 years. She was known for her dedication to family, friends and church. She showed love and compassion for everyone she met. Barbara was also known for her fantastic cooking ability.
Barbara was member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Logan her entire life, as well as a Eucharist Minister. She was a loving wife to her husband of 43 years and an inspiration to her children and grandchildren. Barbara was a strong and brave woman who will be missed by all.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband James C. Buskirk, sons Rhein Buskirk and Colonel James Buskirk and daughter Natalie Buskirk Murphy, four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Buskirk, James Ryan Buskirk, Brenna Buskirk and Sophia Murphy, a brothers Leonard (Janice) Varacalli and Frankie (Della) Varacalli, nephews Paul (Kelly) Varacalli, Deacon Christopher Varacalli, two nieces Susan (Ray) Coriell and Julie (Chris) Clark, other survivors include great nieces and nephews and close friends.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday May 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Logan, with Father Yesu Golla and Deacon Christopher Varacalli officiating.
Burial will follow in Buskirk Cemetery in Logan.
Friends may call on the family on Friday from 6:00-9:00 PM at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan. A Rosary will be conducted at 8:00PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
