A Time of Reflection
The hour glass with its sands of time has slowly but surely spilled its contents, and with the passing of the last sand, went the life of our dearly beloved, Samuel Pack Jr., September 6, 2015.
Samuel Pack Jr. was born on January 2, 1933 in Griffin, Georgia. He was one of five children to bless the union of Samuel and Mary Pack, both preceded him in death. He confessed Christ at an early age in Griffin, Georgia. He was a Deacon at Metropolitan Baptist Church for many years until his health failed him, under the Pastorship of Rev. Fred Roland.
Samuel graduated from Woodward High School in 1951. After high school, he joined the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1955. Samuel was employed at Ford Motor Company and later worked at the United States Postal Service where he retired after serving 33 years.
Samuel was an advent outdoors man. He loved hunting and fishing. He leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife Bessie Pack and his three children: Anthony Pack, Pamela Pack-Rowles (Derek), and Connie Pack, who preceded him in death. He had another son Andrew Rogers (Cheryle). Also, two grandsons, Anthony Pack and Andrew Daniels, three granddaughters, Casey Pack, Jasmine Rogers, and Diamond Rogers, three great-grandsons, Anthony Pack (AJ), Andrew Daniels and Rashawn Daniels, and one great-granddaughter, Kylin; four sisters, Rozzie Reading and Catherine Pack, both preceded him in death, Susie Pack and Betty Pack-Shumake both from Griffin, Georgia and a special friend, Mrs. Alma Shivers, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, one dog, “Skippy.”
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Walker - Mt. Healthy Chapel , 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Interment is in Crown Hill Memorial Gardens.
