Meredith Virginia Ash AGE: 69 • Manahawkin Meredith Virginia Clark Ash, born to Myrtle Jackson Clark and Franklin Clark, passed from this life to be with her heavenly father at 69 years of age on January 22, 2015 in Manahawkin, NJ. Meredith, along with her husband were life long residents of Long Beach Island. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 49 years, David Packard Ash Sr.; her daughter, Jody and son, David Jr.; grandchildren, Jerrica, Chante, Chelsea and Ryan, as well as two great-grandsons Oliver and Rebel. Her brother Greg also survives her, as well as a legacy of love. In 1964, she graduated Chatham High School and went on to graduate from Wilfred Beauty Academy in Newark. She founded Simply Hair in 1976. Meredith dedicated her life to serving others. Some of her outreaches included Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Ocean County Jail, Chaplain of Teton County and Jefferson County Jails. She was known for her wonderful Gift of Mercy, Bible teachings and ministering to others. Besides Long Beach Island, NJ her wonderful life was lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the mountains of Colorado. Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at Grace Calvary Church, 1902 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, NJ. Visitation with family from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon; Service at 12 noon. Gathering for time of fellowship and food after.
