Samuel Pauley | Visit Guest Book WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Samuel Paul Pauley, 76, of Williamson, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Born November 25, 1936, at Lovely, Ky., he was a son of the late Sampson and Mattie Maynard Pauley. Also preceding him in death was his brother and sisters, Rodean Adkins, Sampson Pauley Jr. and Nannie James. Mr. Pauley was a retired school principal and teacher, and continued to teach after retirement until his death. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a social worker. Survivors include his wife, Darcus Hall Pauley; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis Howard and Jerry Keith Coleman of Pikeville, Ky., and three grandchildren, Paul Howard Jr., Samantha Howard and Shawna Howard. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Earl White and Ray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.jwcallfuneralhome.com/ J.W.
