Gail Rose Perkins Hatfield, 72, of Williamson, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at Williamson Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 2, 1936, in Williamson to the late Claude E. [W.] and Peggy Perkins. She was a retired secretary, a member of the First Baptist Church of Williamson, a 1954 graduate of Williamson High School and a 1956 graduate of Roanoke Business College. She is survived by her loving husband: Cecil E. Hatfield, daughters: Sonya (Rusty) Hall of Belfry, Ky, Marsha (Marty) Wagner of Phelps, Ky., and Cecila Lynn Barker of Belfry; grandchildren: Craig Paxton Wagner of Phelps and Kelsey Marie Barker of Belfry; special caregiver: Regina Starr, and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 17, at the First Baptist Church of Williamson with Jarrod Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, with Rusty Hall, Marty Wagner, Craig Paxton Wagner, Paul Morris, Eddie Henry and Charles Ray serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Anderson Hatfield III, David Hatfield, Zach Hatfield, Rodney Vanmeter II, George Ritchie and Dr. Leo Pajarillo. Visitation will be from 6 pm. until 8 p.m. Sunday night at the First Baptist Church of Williamson. The R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is in charge of arrangements.
